Could Facebook Advertising Work for Your Business?

The words ‘paid advertising’ are enough to strike fear into the heart of many a small business owner. On the face of it it can seem a mysterious, and often expensive, business. If you read our previous blog concerning advertising scams, then this could be the case if you were to go down the more traditional route, however with Facebook advertising, the process is smooth and the results are easy to understand. But don’t just take our word for it! We recently worked with Rachel Mullet of Pembrokeshire Moments, who wanted to boost traffic to her website in the run up to Christmas. Rachel had tried hard to run her own social media for sometime. Having attended a training course she still felt that she wasn’t fully aware of where to focus the attention, or how to reach intended market and get the best return vs effort, whilst trying to target new audiences.

We implemented a discount code onto a product, and ran a 3 week Facebook advertising campaign with a budget of £100.

The results of the campaign were as follows:

Impressions (the amount of times the advert was seen) – 14,640

Reach (the number of individuals who saw the advert) – 10,580

Link Clicks (number of times the website was visited) – 205

This meant that the cost per link click was 48p.

Rachel has seen a definite uplift in orders as a direct result of the campaign, and was very pleased with the return on her investment. She commented that she found the staff polite and knowledgeable, and she felt she was updated regularly on stats and development of the project.

She intends to run a second campaign with us in 2019!
